Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens
(trust me you don't want to hear me sing that tune.)
But when I saw this page on Jen-La's blog two of my favorite things came together in a beautiful moment of harmonic convergence.
Cheers, wrap and turn!

Bear down
Just for all my peeps that are looking for a way to show their team spirit Sunday I made up a little chart of the Bears logo. Hoping Mrs. McCaskey doesn't hunt me down and beat me with her walker for stealing it!
See charted design after the break...

What Kind of Knitter Are You?
You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting and do it all the time. While finishing a piece is the plan, you still love the process, and can't imagine a day going by without giving some time to your yarn. Packing for vacation involves leaving ample space for the stash and supplies. It can be hard to tell where the yarn ends and you begin.http://marniemaclean.com

Mess Contained
I got the idea for this from Jen at my LYS This past fall she challenged all of us at the Knitting with Company on Fridays to help fill the Vase o' Tails and prizes were involved. As I was working on the neverending Mosaic Mitts Knitathon this holiday season I found myself often surrounded by a growing pile of yarn tails. I started throwing them into my own personal Vase o' Tails.
For once in my life my mess is actually somewhat attractive.
Just tell me to stop it.
I've been driving myself nuts with all the fussing and fucking up fixing I've been doing to this here blog this week.
Once I got everything back up and working and my sidebar items mostly all reloaded correctly (I know I still have to put up links.) I decided I didn't like that brown theme. So I went looking for a replacement. I like this one. It is bright and funky. I still want to get rid of that "marten timan" at the top and try to figure out why My Eclectic Mess doesn't show up somewhere. ButI'm chicken shit to start messing with the .php again for fear I'll lose mycookies, mind, blog again.
I also found another theme I liked (Melissa-20) but when I ran it I noticed that my Pages links didn't show up anywhere and again, didn't want to mess around and try to fix that so I went back to this one.
Then I decided to finally enable and load my flickr account and put my pics there instead of using imageshack or directly uploading them to my site. Flickr has some nifty stuff and I figured since I use Yahoo webhosting and Wordpress getting everything to work together would be easy peasy, NOT! I'm now referring to it as fluckr. It won't let me set up my blog for photo posting directly from fluckr. I've read every FAQ, and help forum thread related to the problem. Seems like I'm one of millions that have this problem but no one seems to have the solution that will work for me. I also activated the Falbum plugin with this theme and thought I did everything right, but it doesn't work either and I again read every support item I could find, followed all the directions (for such a popular plugin the support sucks!), and still nothing. It is supposed to be the Gallery Page linked up top. I give up. If you want to see my pics, click on the the little flickr badge in my sidebar. So far that is all I've managed to get to work.
After spending intermitable hours working on all this bullshit, I realized I hadn't made any substantial posts. So I decided that I needed to just knock it off and post some pics of my FO and other stuff. So watch this space for more and more of the inane postings I'm so infamous for and I've been storing in the dark recesses of mydirty mind for weeks now.

new boss is the same as the old boss
I've done it again. But it is for the best (I think).
I royally f-ed up my website and in the process lost my cookies and couldn't access my wordpress blog. I got to the point yesterday that I had to just start fresh. This time around I decided to just make my blog my homepage and build my website pages in wordpress. I think it will be simpler and more user friendly in the long run.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to restore my old posts (no big loss!) I'll do my best to at least restore my free patterns and pics of my 2006 projects.
Please, if you have stuck with me this long or are new to my blog, leave me a comment so I know that all my frustration (and alcohol consumption) wasn't for naught.

Click here to take a photo tour of my new space. It's not done but it's getting there. I still have a shitload of stuff to transfer from the big room but I need to empty the closet more so I have a place for it all.

This is where I tell you the witty/clever nicknames I have given all my loved ones/pets/friends/weird people I see at the grocery store.
I may even include pictures! Woot!
About me
I'm Beth. I do all kinds of crafty/artsy stuff. I'm also a little bit crazy, a little bit funny, a lot snarky, quite a bit sarcastic and cynical and more than just a tad bit quirky.
