Beth- Funny that Stephanie is the message before mine because I actually heard about your podcast from Shannon and have listened to all your shows in the last few days. I love how you really just stream of conciousness talk away! Really, it is a pleasure, I know you are following some kind of notes, but it is just a pleasure to hear someone who can be so articualte without reading from a script...plus you really seem to know about ALOT of different things. What can I say, this is going o sound wrong , but you are so NOT boring....you are funny (quite naturally) and I have truly enjoyed knitting to your voice. Oh yeah, I have also learned a thing or two. Looking forward to the next one- Sharon PS- one freaky thing...in the show where you are talking about haunted houses and ghosts and SSK an all that , when you are about thirteen and a half minutes before the end and in the mids of all the ghos talk the creepiest thing happens, which after "rewinding" and listening to it a few times I realize is just a glitch and your voice gets really slow for about a second, but initially it creeped me out SO MUCH...it was like a ghostly scary voice. See if you can find it!
DAMN IT STEPHANIE-sheesh-always has to be first! Beth-I think you might be the Patti Smith of knitting-to be honest I never really liked her-but I have heard her referred to as the "punk poet" and you rock. Your point of view is so FREAKING awesome. Don't ever stop!
Oh-and my FAVORITE scare the neighbors music is...and I have tried several methods to scare these particular neighbors is-The Pogues-Freaks 'em out. When they piss me off I crank up the boyfriend's 3 foot high mother effin'g speakers, put on "If I should Fall from Grace with God" and become a one woman mosh pit in my living room until things start falling off the shelves. LOVE IT! Also-a selection of bagpipe music played really loudly works as well. Not sure why. I always think that just by being yourself-thats the punkest thing of all. LOVE YOU! -Shannon
Another great show --- seriously, this is one of my favorite podcasts.
