I have something new on the needles. It begged to be photographed outside yesterday out in the snow before the big game. I conceded after I attempted to photograph it from the warmth of my cozy living room to no avail. Black cashmere lace just doesn't like being photographed under artificial light.
So Little Miss Swallowtail and I ventured out onto the deck for the world's shortest photo shoot. After 3 quick captures even the cashmere content was begging to return to the warmth of my kitchen. The Addis were about to shatter from the shivering they were enduring.
Once back inside we cuddled around the kitchen hearth and did tequila shots to warm us up and prepare us for the big game.
There is nothing for any self respecting knitter out there to do on a bitterly cold day like today but cuddle up by the hearth and knit something warm and cuddly. Dive into your stash and knit away so you don't even have to venture out to your LYS.* But promise to refresh your stash as soon as it is warm enough to go outside safely again. :) .
HEe--it's true, cashmere does demand special treatment. By all means, keep that shawl warm!
