I saw this meme on Jo's blog today. This one sounded fun so I ran with it.
Directions: If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?
1. Open your mp3 library
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press Play.
4. For every question, type the song that's playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the Next button.
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool.
7. Don't skip songs.

6. Happiness: Love Shack - B-52s
7. Life's okay: I'm Not Okay (I Promise) - My Chemical Romance (Damn, aint that the truth!)
8. Mental breakdown: Gone Daddy Gone - Violent Femmes
9. Driving: Clocks - Coldplay
10. Flashback: Deep Dark Truthful Mirror - Elvis Costello
11. Getting back together: Freedom - Blues Traveler
12. Wedding song: She's Not For You - Willie Nelson (Should I tell Mr. Mess?)
13. Birth of first child: Bennie and the Jets - Elton John
14. Final battle scene: In Bloom - Nirvana (I can so see Brian DePalma making this work.)
15. Death scene: Add It Up - Violent Femmes
16. Funeral song: Girlfriend Is Better - Talking Heads
17. End credits: I Can't Make You Love Me - Bonnie Raitt
Ok, I adore your soundtrack. Makes me happy to know that Nirvana and Bonnie Raitt appear in someone else's iTunes together. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words about my almost-Avast... and I'm glad someone else was slightly "eh" about the IK Spring 2007... I'm definitely the type better in sweaters as well. That thong blew my mind. Mmmm. Silk in the crack.
Yeesh. :)
I might do this later. I have Elton John somewhere in mine too :)
ReplyDeleteMongrel, I thought the combination of the Violent Femmes and Willie Nelson was quite unique myself!
ReplyDeleteBetter silk than stratchy homespun or linen I suppose!
Very cool. I want to re-take this meme only using my songs - because when I did it the first time it was from our (my husband and I) joint MP3 library.
ReplyDeleteI'll be doing this later, these are always fun to read. Knitting/crafting bloggers don't often talk of their musical tastes so it's fun to read about!
