Let me introduce you to the latest Mess Maker, Tallulah. At least that is the name the ladies at H.E.L.P gave her yesterday at the adoption event I attended. It is very fitting for her and I like it, but I'm not sure we'll keep it. I've been trying some others on for size today. As usual with our animals, no matter what I actually "officially" name her, she'll end up with some stupid nickname anyway.
I had intended to adopt a black kitten or a tuxedo cat but this little baby won my heart. Partly because the black polydactyl I had signed up to adopt was in the process of going home with someone else when I got there for my scheduled appointment time. Seems that the other family answered, "yes" when asked if they were the ones that signed up to adopt him. I think it is for the best anyway. The foster mom said he was still a little wild but Tallulah was practically a marshmallow and very sweet. All it took was her flopping over on her back like a baby in my arms and starting to purr with a VERY loud motor to win me over.
She has already claimed the smaller Kitty Pi I made as her own. Good thing, the Milk Brothers are both to big and fat to fit into it anyway.
I just noticed this morning a truly unique feature with her facial stripes.
Another thing about her is that she looks so much like my old tiger kitty, Sebastian (aka BooBoo).
Mini-Me and I loved the name my friend Erin named her new kitten, Sirius Black, and wanted to also go with a Harry Potter theme name. Little E suggested Luna and we really like that and it is a front runner. Also under consideration; Hermione, Trelawney, Minerva and Jenny. My votes go toward either Luna or Minerva (I can name a cat after my dress form right?)

I LOVE HER! I also like Luna! I have to say I am so happy you got a tiger as this is MY KIND OF CAT! I know that is SO important to you!
ReplyDeleteI vote for Trelawney - you could still keep with the L theme and call her LaLa. She's a beauty!!
ReplyDeleteThe more I look at those green eyes the more I want to kiss her tummy! I need to see you this week for cat love!
ReplyDeleteThe green eyed one is my old boy Sebastian. LuLu has orange/gold eyes. But she is very kissable regardless. Check out today's post about our most recent visitor. ;)
ReplyDeleteOooh, that is so freaky! New reader here by way of Turtlegirl... What a gorgeous cat. Sparrow is a good name. But I really like Minerva and Trelawny (although I like Tallulah as well, and you can call her Lulu or Lula for short). My cats past and present have always had formal names (past: Zachary, Gammon, Pandora, Vincent; present: Ophelia, Zander, Jacob, Tyler, Sam) but of course they get nicks (Oaf, Big Z, Jakey, Tuffyfluffy and Blue). Congrats on your new addition.
